Alene Whitlow Kornman, age 92, of Owings Mills passed away peacefully, Friday, January 9, 2015 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson.
Born February 18, 1922 in Roanoke, VA, she was the daughter of the late John Daniel Whitlow and LaEula May Stump Whitlow. She was the wife of the late Homer Clifford Kornman, her husband of 65 years; mother of Virginia Lee Farley of Lubbock, TX, Mary Susan Sutphin of Carlsbad, CA, and Nancy Alice Myers of Herndon, VA; grandmother of 3; and great-grandmother of 7.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 Monday, January 12 at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills with a funeral 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 13 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 109 Main Street, Reisterstown with her pastor the Rev. Timothy P. Feaser officiating.
Interment will be in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 109 Main Street, Reisterstown, MD 21136.
