Alfretta Jean Gibson

Alfretta Jean Gibson, 83, of Manchester, MD passed away peacefully on Monday morning, October 10, 2022, with her children by her side. Born on May 1, 1939, in Pennsylvania. She was the wife to the late Robert R. Gibson.

Alfretta taught at Black Rock Nursery School and worked as a Parent Advocate for Carroll County Board of Education.

Surviving Alfretta is her sister: RuthAnn MacCrum, and children: Heather Testa and husband Greg Kates, Holly Hergan, Robin Gibson and husband Kevin King, and Grant Gibson and wife Melissa Gibson. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Claudia Testa, Sarah Hergan, Jeffrey Hergan, Beckham Gibson, and Archer Gibson.

A celebration of life and memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 15, from 1-3 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102, where a memorial service will begin at 2:15 pm.
