Alice Marion Chesney

Alice Marion Chesney, 79 of Hampstead, MD passed away peacefully Monday March 21, 2016 at the Longview Health Care Center in Manchester, MD. Born June 22, 1936 she was the daughter of the late George Edward and Marion Griffin McConnaughy, she was the wife of the late Bobby Ray "Swampy" Chesney, Sr. who died in 2005.
She was a housewife and an active member of Hampstead Baptist Church. She enjoyed word searches, playing bingo and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Robin Rae Victor and husband Terry of Upperco, MD, Maryellen Louise Guilkey and husband Doug of Phoenix, AZ, Bobby Ray Chesney, Jr. and wife Patricia McConville of New Oxford, PA and Darryl J. Chesney and wife Vita of Hampstead, MD, siblings, Jean Hammond of Cockeysville, MD, George McConnaughy, II of Chesapeake, VA, Edward McConnaughy of Reisterstown, MD and Valerie Lehew of Lake Wales, FL. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Daniel Kevin Chesney and brother, Harold McConnaughy.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday March 23, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9pm. at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00am. at Hampstead Baptist Church, 328 Hanover Pike, Hampstead, MD. Interment will be in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Timonium, MD.
