Alice Mae Mummert

Alice Mae Mummert, 101, of Reisterstown MD, passed peacefully Friday, December 9, 2016 at Golden Crest Assisted Living, Hampstead, MD. Born May 22, 1915 in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Lydia Ellen Blizzard. She was the wife of the late Oswald P. Mummert who died in 2002.
Surviving her are children: Nancy McKenzie of Sykesville MD, Viveca Michaels of Manchester MD, 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter: Patsy Bloom, a grandson: Martin S. Bloom, Sr., and siblings: Etta Irene Abbott, Belinda Jane Bennett, James Vernon Blizzard, Jeremiah Edgar Blizzard, Emory Raymond Blizzard, Ellen Rebecca Harris, M. Leota Barnhart, Preston Martin Blizzard, Benjamin Harland Blizzard, Joseph Gonse Blizzard, Edith Gertrude Bankert, Emma Grace Shipley, Margaret Elizabeth Blizzard, Luther Melvin Blizzard, Lottie Long, and Maurice "Ham" Blizzard.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 12, from 3-5 and 7-9pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117 where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, at 11 am, officiated by Rev. Timothy Feaser. Interment is in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD.
