Alice Emma Rider

Alice Emma Rider, 94, of Manchester, MD, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Longview in Manchester, MD.  Born on January 28, 1929, in Westminster, MD, she was the daughter of the late Evert and Emma Rider.

Alice received her Doctoral Degree in music from Peabody Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. She briefly taught school in Carroll County and later taught music at Menchey music in Hanover, Pennsylvania.

Alice is survived by a niece and nephew, and many friends.

She was predeceased by her parents and her brother.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 29, at 2 pm, at John Luther Miller Memorial Cemetery, Westminster, MD.
