Alice M. Slade-Myers, 80, of Westminster, MD, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at Carroll Hospital Center. Born on May 13, 1938, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Edward Esau and Mary Newell Schultz Minor. She was the loving wife of Jacob Luther Myers.
Alice recently worked as an aide for Schaffer Bus Service. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Carrollton Hounds, and the Blue Ridge Arabian Horse Association. She was an avid equestrian, and loved all plants and animals. Years ago, she was a member of Pretty Boy Hunt Club.
Surviving in addition to her husband are sons: George William Slade and wife Fulvia of Zonhoven, Belgium, Jonathan Frederic Slade and wife Novia of Lineboro, MD, Robert Bruce Slade and wife Marisa of Greenmount, MD, and James Daniel Slade and wife Maricruz of Catonsville, MD, grandchildren: Jacquelyn, Hazel, and Rubén, and a brother: William Henry Minor of Monkton, MD.
She was predeceased by a brother: Edward C. Minor.
The family will receive friends at a memorial gathering to be held on Sunday, December 2, from 2-3 pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 3184 Church Street, Manchester, MD 21102, where a memorial service will commence at 3 pm, with the Rev. Charles Marshall officiating.
Interment is private.
