Alois Betmarik, Jr., 86, of Reisterstown died Monday, April 7, 2008 at the Hanover Hall Nursing Home in Hanover, PA.
He was born August 30, 1921 in Pensacola, FL and was the son of the late Alois Betmarik, Sr. and Mattie Gray Betmarik. He was the husband of Frances Elizabeth Betmarik, his wife of 66 years.
Mr. Betmarik was in the Army Air Corp during WWII. He worked as a field engineer for Bendix Corporation and was a member of the VFW.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his sons William T. Betmarik, Alois B. Betmarik, and Melvin R. Betmarik, all of Hanover, PA; a sister Florence Hayes of Pensacola, FL; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills with Rev. John Rudd of Reisterstown Baptist Church.
Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Park in Sykesville.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
