Alvin Ray Hylton age 74 of Owings Mills, MD. died Friday August 1,2008 at the Seasons Hospice in Randallstown, MD.
Born May 16,1934 in Limestone, Tenn. He was the son of the late Guss B. and Helen M. Chain Hylton. He was the husband of Ida Ruth Whealton Hylton his wife of 53 years.
He had worked in Security for the State of Maryland.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children: Helen Nelson of Glyndon, MD., Betty Davis of Arbutus, MD., Laura Shaffer of Essex, MD., Michael Hylton of Cedar Park, Texas and Mary Farfoglia of Manchester, MD.
He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by siblings: Sanford Hylton, Mary Russell, Wanda Mauk, Charles Hylton, William Hylton, Florence Shipley, Lois Yelton and Nellie Hylton.
Funeral services will be held at the Covenant of Grace Church, 820 Nicodemus Rd. Reisterstown, MD. on Wednesday August 6,2008 at 9:30 am. with the Rev. John Aldrich officiating. Interment will be in Meadowridge Cemetery, Baltimore, MD.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills, MD. from 3-5 and 7-9 pm.
