Amanda Gail Kent age 37 of Manchester, MD. died Friday Nov. 15, 2013 at her home.

Born May 7, 1976 in Kingsport, TN. she was the daughter of Richard David and Donna Louise Hann Kent of Manchester, MD.

She was a 1994 graduate of North Carroll High School and a 1998 graduate of St. Andrews Presbyterian Collage in Laurinburg, North Carolina. She was involved with 4H for many years, and was a former poster child and goodwill ambassador for the March of Dimes. She worked as a Benefit Authorizer for Social Security for a number of years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Westminster, MD where she taught Sunday School. She was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Manchester where she taught Sunday School and was a youth director.

Surviving in addition to her parents are sisters and brother in laws Vickie Lynn Beard and husband Jeff of Manchester, MD and Wendi Nichols and husband Chris of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Nieces and nephew, Aimee, Kristina, Joshua, Karli and Kelsi. Best friends, Danielle and Cliff Cagle of Orlando, Florida.


Funeral services will be held at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3184 Church St. Manchester, on Wednesday at 11:00 am.

Interment will be in New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9pm. at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester or at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am.
