Amy Carolyn Evans

Amy Carolyn Evans, 37, of Baltimore, MD, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at her home. Born on May 27, 1986, in Maryland, she was the daughter of June Weston Evans and Francis Christopher Evans and his wife Charito "Chat" Mendoza.

Amy loved many things but had a special affinity for books and classic literature. She had a profound talent for arranging words into her own beautiful poems and passages. She loved giving gifts and would often craft her own creative trinkets, mementos, and macrame to give to friends and family, finding great joy and elation in doing so.

A lover of scary movies and the macabre, Amy embraced all things considered "weird," "strange," or "nerdy." She cherished Halloween and the autumn season, and was never happier than when she was carving a pumpkin or planning a costume.

She loved her local sports teams and if she wasn't passionately cheering on the Capitals, Ravens, or Orioles, she loved cursing at the referees for bad calls and rooting for the underdog.

Amy loved her cat Churchill "Church" dearly and is now reunited with her childhood dogs, Sammy and Phoebe.

Those who knew Amy will remember her for her silly sense of humor, creative mind, kind heart, passionate soul, vibrant smile, and her beautiful, radiant, smiling blue eyes... all of which she passed down to the one thing she loved more than anything else in this world, her son Max.

Surviving her in addition to her parents is her son: Max Ryan, sister: Kristen Scotto and partner Cindy Grace, brother: Ryan Evans and wife Melissa, nieces: Maria and Amelie, and a nephew: Francesco.

The family will receive visitors on Sunday, September 17, from 1-3 pm and on Monday, September 18, from 1-3 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117.

A private graveside inurnment will take place at All Saints Cemetery, Reisterstown, MD.
