Anastasia "Ann" Cyford, 85 years old of Union Bridge, Maryland, died Monday, March 23, 2009 at the Carroll County Hospital Center.
Born September 2, 1923 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Bertha Tomlinson.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence "Cy" Cyford in 2008.
She dedicated her life to her family in countless ways. She was gifted in sewing and crafts which she generously shared with others.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon "Sister Cecilia" Cyford, S.S.J. and sons and daughter-in-laws Larry and Nancy Cyford and Lance and Gloria Cyford; grandchildren Emily and Andrew Cyford; step grandchildren Kim Cook, Tracey Martin, Carron Berger, Russell and Robert Kelly and several step great grandchildren. She was a second mother to Kay Acree.
She was predeceased by her sister Catherine Kirby and a brother Robert Tomlinson.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday the 27th at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon.
The family will receive friends on Friday at the church from 9:00 -10:00 AM.
Ann was an Anatomy Board Donor.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, Inc., Office of Development, 1501 NW 9th Ave/ Bob Hope Road, Miami, Florida 33136-1494.
