Andrew Edward Lucas, Jr.

Andrew Edward Lucas, Jr., 76, of Reisterstown, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at the Seasons Hospice at Northwest Hospital Center. Born August 6, 1939 in Warren, OH, he was the son of the late Andrew Lucas, Sr. and Vavara Lucas, (nee Datish). He was the husband of Mary Ann Lucas, (nee Bolock), his wife of 52 years. He was a long time member Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church in Baltimore and the Reisterstown Kiwanis Club. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Al Lucas and wife Betsy, Jim Lucas, Linda Kane and husband Bruce; his brother Charles Lucas and wife Sandy; and his 8 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2015 at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mill where prayers will be offered at 8 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Saints Peter and Paul Chapel, 6480 Elibank Drive, Elkridge with Fr. John Vass officiating. Interment will follow in the Holy Trinity Cemetery in Elkridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Lucas's name to the American Heart Association, 217 East Redwood Street, 23rd Floor, Baltimore, MD 21201.
