Anita Belt Armacost

Anita Belt Armacost, 94, of Finksburg, MD, formerly of Reisterstown, MD, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024, at BridgingLife Dove House in Westminster, MD. Born on July 13, 1930, in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Emma Belt. She was the beloved wife of the late William H. Armacost, who passed away in 1981. William was the love of her life.

Years ago, Anita worked as a telephone operator. She enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, gardening, cooking, and making Christmas cookies.

Surviving her are children: Cathy Jane Hastings and husband Jerry of Finksburg, MD, Cleveland H. Armacost and wife Terri of Upperco, MD, Susan Diane Armacost and fiancé Edward R. McConnaughy, Jr., of Reisterstown, MD, Scott Armacost and wife Amy of Reisterstown, MD, 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and siblings: Peggy Brunk, Eleanor Neeb, George Belt, Susan Almario, Virginia "Ginny" Kinzer, and Robert "Ovie" Belt.

She was predeceased by her sons: Henry "Bud" Armacost and Charles "Chucky" Armacost, siblings: John Belt and Barbara VanValkenburg, and dear friend: Poppy Bill Hastings.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, October 8, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 9, at 10 am.

Interment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD.
