Anne Sadtler Durham

Anne Sadtler Durham, 90, of Upperco, MD, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at her residence. Born on November 10, 1927 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Henry Lewis Bowen Parlette, Sr., and Mary Louise Norris Parlette. For 60 years, she was the wife of the late Robert Albright Durham, Sr., who died in 2007.

Anne was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Arcadia, since 1953, where she taught Sunday School, served on many committees and was a charter member in 1974 of the Service and Fellowship Group of the church. Her joys were her family, making blankets for Project Linus, her great grandchildren, and volunteering at NESAP in Hampstead.

Surviving are daughters: Mary Jane Peters, Barbara A. Utz and her husband Steven, sons: Robert A. Durham, Jr., and his wife Ann, Michael H. Durham and his wife Cindy, and Paul D. Durham, Sr., grandchildren: Heather Lord, Matthew Peters, Carrie Durham, Amy Durham, Joshua Durham, Corey Durham, Kristy Snell, Ashley Arentz, Jennifer Brown, Sara Singer, Paul Durham, Jr., Jacob Durham, and Abraham Durham, great grandchildren: Madeline, Joseph, Andrew, Stella, Isaiah, Jared, Trenton, Alana, Derek, Branden, Henry, Jordan, Paige, Amelia, Natalie, Lila, Jack, Isaiah and Sophia. Also surviving is a sister: Henrietta Parlette, and a brother: Henry L. B. Parlette, Jr.

She was predeceased by son in law: William A. Peters, and sisters: Margaret Shirley, Mandy McLaughlin, and Mary Albright.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, June 5, from 3-8 pm at the family farm, 5801 Emory Road, Upperco, MD 21155. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, at 11 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 15801 Trenton Road, Upperco, MD, officiated by Rev. Carl Myers. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
