Anne T. Gehlich beloved wife of Charles Gehlich passed peacefully into God's eternal care on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at home with her family at her side.
Anne was born July 19, 1931 in Coatbridge, Scotland. She came to the United States at the age of 16, then shortly after the rest of her family followed. They resided in New York City where she met her future husband, Charles. They have been married 57 years.
Anne's abundant musical talent played a dominant role in her life. She sang in church choirs in New York and here in Maryland at her church, Sacred Heart of Glyndon and the archdiocesan choir of Baltimore. She also played the organ at many masses and was involved in many organizations at Sacred Heart Parish.
Anne will be dearly missed by her loving husband Charles, her children: Anne, Joseph, William. Rose, Regina and their spouses. She has shared in the lives of her 6 grandchildren and welcomed a great-grandson last year.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, with a Mass of Christian burial celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Glyndon, 65 Sacred Heart Lane with the Mass celebrated by Msgr. Lloyd Aiken.
Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
