Annie "Catherine" Simpers

Annie "Catherine" Simpers, 99, of Manchester, wife of Robert "Bob" B. Simpers (deceased), died on February 23, 2023, in Waldorf, MD. Born September 11, 1923, in Butler, MD, Catherine was the daughter of the late Howard Franklin and Hilda C.V. (Millender) Patterson.

She worked throughout her life, including as a greeter for Walmart until age 88 after her retirement from Black and Decker and during WW-II for Western Electric. Catherine was an active member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church of Manchester and a member of the Eastern Star.

Catherine is survived by two sons, Bruce Robert Simpers and Glen Richard Simpers, two grandchildren, Scot M. Simpers and Lori K. Anderson, and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 11:00 am at New Lutheran Cemetery in Manchester.
