Anthony "Tony" Richard Herrmann, Jr.

Anthony "Tony" Richard Herrmann, Jr., 95, of Reisterstown, MD, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at his home. Born on October 1, 1927, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Anthony R. Herrmann, Sr. and Mary C. Frampton Herrmann. Twice married, he was the husband of the late Norma F. Smith Herrmann, who passed away in 2001, and Betty Louise Korman Hentzman.

Tony was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and served from 1945-1948 during World War II. He worked for Kraft Heinz Company, formerly Nabisco Company, for over 40 years. Tony was a hard worker and took pride in his job. He enjoyed going on cruises with his wife, Betty.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are children: Patricia A. Smith and husband Donald E. of Finksburg, Richard A. Herrmann and wife Leila K. of Fairfax Station, VA, Mary-Jo A. Price and husband Robert T. of Hampstead, Frances A. Burnett and husband Michael T. of Severna Park, and Karen A. Woodworth and husband Kerry B. of Westminster, 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by step-daughters: Judith A. Hentzman of Connecticut, Barbara A. Miller and husband Thomas R. of Reisterstown, step-granddaughter: Eliza G. Reitz of Upperco, and step-great-grandsons: Matthew A. Nejfelt, and Daniel J. and Joseph S. Reitz.

Tony was predeceased by his sister: Mary C. Sauerwein.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, January 27, 2023, from 2 to 9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD, 21117. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 28, at 10 am, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, MD 21071.

Interment will take place in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, MD, at a later date.
