Anthony Vuono, Sr.

Anthony Vuono, Sr., 89, of Hanover, PA, formerly of Manchester, MD and Whitford, MD, passed away on August 28, 2021 at Hanover Hospital after a long illness. Born on June 8, 1932, he was the son of the late Charles Angelo Vuono, Sr. and the late May Russo of Newark, NJ.

Anthony worked for many years in the garment industry with his family. He and his then wife owned a sewing factory, "Dolores Dress, Inc." in Whitford, MD.

To know Anthony was to love him. He leaves behind memories of a life well lived. He loved God, family, friends, and his country, where he was a proud veteran of the Army serving in the Korean War.

Surviving Anthony is his ex-wife and mother of his children, Dolores McGrew; daughter Cynthia and wife Kimberley of Hanover, PA; son Joseph and wife Megan of TN; beloved grandchildren Dolores Anthony, Patrick Guy, Aaron Scott, Lukas Jamison, Caeden Klay, Anthony Xavier, and Samantha Louise, and seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Anthony was predeceased by his son, Anthony Vuono, Jr., and daughter Victoria Lea.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 11am-1pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held 1pm.

Interment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD.
