Antoinette Theresa Nelson, 69, of Owings Mills died Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Futurecare Cherrywood Nursing Home in Reisterstown.
Born April 24, 1943 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Dominic DiStefano, Sr. and Carmella Leana Manno DiStefano. She was the wife of Craig S. Nelson, Sr., her husband of 43 years.
She was a homemaker, who enjoyed playing Bingo, traveling, camping, and outdoor life. In her spare time, she was a member of the V.F. W. Ladies Auxiliary and the Owings Mills Volunteer Fire Company's Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are her children James Michael Crocker and wife Louise, and Morgan Davis Crocker and wife Kelly all of Reisterstown, and Craig S. Nelson, Jr. of Owings Mills; her brother Anthony DiStefano, Jr. and wife Wanda of Hanover, PA., her 9 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills.
Interment will be in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Owings Mills Volunteer Fire Company, 10401 Owings Mills Boulevard, Owings Mills, MD 21117.
