Antonietta Nicoletta Ferretti, 89, of Manchester, MD, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at her home. Born on December 8, 1934, in Montecilfone, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Carlo Florio and Angelica Bondanese Florio. She was the beloved wife of the late Enrico Ferretti.
Antonietta was an amazing friend, sister, mother, and grandmother. A phenomenal hostess and cook, she was happiest spending time with her family whether enjoying her home cooking, or Maryland steamed crabs. With a ready smile and infectious sense of humor, she brought joy to all those around her. She was a parishioner at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, her faith was central to who she was.
Surviving her are children: Francesco Ferretti and wife Sandy of Florida, Angela Canapp and husband Douglas of Finksburg, MD, Timoteo Ferretti of Upperco, MD, and grandchildren: Sierra Canapp and husband Raymond Castro, Enrico Ferretti, Brandon Ferretti, Tate Canapp, Eden Canapp, Monterra Szabo, Daniel Ferretti, Nicholas Ferretti, Benjamin Ferretti, great-granddaughter: Eris Castro, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by brothers: Ermanno Florio of Glen Arm, MD, Antonio Florio, and Ubaldo Florio, both of Glen Burnie, MD.
Antonietta was predeceased by her daughter: Laura Ferretti-Szabo, grandson: Noah Emmanuel Szabo, and brother: Enrico Florio.
The family receive visitors on Tuesday, October 15, 1-3 pm and 5-7 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 10 am, at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church, 2930 Hanover Pike, Manchester, MD.
Interment to follow in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD.
