Arbana "Abbey" Willis Lambert, 77, of Towson and Manchester, MD, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, in her home in Towson. Born on March 14, 1947, in Sandstone, WV, she was the daughter of the late Arlie Lee Willis and Mildred Evelyn Wix. She was the wife of Robert D. Lambert, Jr., who passed away in 1980.
Abbey was a graduate of Franklin High School. She worked as an accountant at Aon Consulting for many years and picked up shifts as an X-Ray technician on the side. After retirement from Aon, she resumed her career full time in X-Ray at Harbor Hospital. She worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for her children and grandchildren. She truly cherished her time with her family and friends and strongly encouraged education, self-sufficiency, and politics. Abbey had a heart for helping people and provided support for anyone who was down on their luck, with a place to live, a meal, or just kind words. She was the heart and soul of the family and will truly be missed.
Surviving her are daughters: Becky Lambert, Kate Brookshire and husband Brandon, grandchildren: Serena Lambert-Whitt, Olivia Brookshire, Evelyn Brookshire, and "honorary daughter": Jodi Travers. She is also survived by her sister: Diana Gail Reeb, and nieces.
Abbey was predeceased by her son: James "Jim" Scott Lambert.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 12, at 1 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102.
