Arbutus C. Livick, 91, of Manchester died Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.
Born March 13, 1921 in Blue Grass, VA, she was the daughter of the late Warren C. Hidy and Eula A. Colaw Hidy.
She was the wife of the late Allen Lewis Livick, Sr., her husband of 65 years, who died Wednesday, January 5, 2011.
She was a kind spiritual woman who loved her family dearly. She had a lovely smile and a kind word for everyone. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed word puzzles, reading her Bible, watching her Christian programs, writing poems, and cooking.
Surviving are her daughters and son-in-law Carolyn J. Pinning of Sparks, Linda H. and Larry G. Taylor of Manchester; her son and daughter-in-law Allen L., Jr. and Christa A. Livick of Pylesville; her grandchildren Michelle Wright, Darlene Ciepiela, Lisa Ryan, and Sherry McCammon; her 11 great grandchildren; her siblings Doris Hiner of Waynesboro, VA, Yvonne Smith of Painesville, OH, and Ann Argenbright of Waynesboro, VA.
She was predeceased by her son-in-law James I. Pinning, her grandson Allen L. Livick, III., and her siblings Beatrice Hidy, Judy Hidy, Wallace Hidy; and Edith Livick.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Dr. Chris Brammer officiating.
Entombment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Arbutus C. Livick to Hampstead Baptist Church, P.O. Box 95, Hampstead, MD. 21074.
