Audrey Leona Hossler, 83, of Manchester died Friday, June 6, 2014 at Hanover Hall Nursing Center in Hanover, PA.
Born December 22, 1930 in Reisterstown, she was the daughter of the late James Wilson Grimes and Anna Marie Rhoten Grimes. She was the wife of the Earl Leroy Hossler, who died in 1996.
She was a life member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Manchester and was a 1948 graduate of Franklin High School in Reisterstown. Years ago, she was the Secretary and a Substitute Teacher for the Carroll County Schools at Manchester Elementary School. She retired from the State of Maryland where she had worked at the Carroll County Health Department.
Surviving are her sons Mark Hossler of Hanover, PA, Stephen Hossler and David Hossler both of Manchester; and her grandchildren Christopher David Hossler of Shrewsbury, PA, Anna R. Zebron of Westminster, and Maggie E. Hossler of Manchester.
She was predeceased by her son Daniel Stephen Hossler and her brothers Robert, Kenneth, and David Grimes.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Glen Willet officiating.
Interment will be in Old Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery, Manchester.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be offered to the Trinity United Church of Christ, P.O. Box 730, Manchester, MD 21102.
