Barbara Kay Baughman Schreiber, 71, of Westminster, died on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Greater Baltimore Medical Center after a year-long battle with leukemia that she fought with her always positive nature, dignity and selflessness.

In 1995, she returned to Westminster, Maryland and married Alan H. Schreiber.

Barbara worked part-time as a concierge at Emeritus Senior Living (formerly Summerville of Westminster), where she loved being involved with the residents.

Surviving in addition to her husband is her daughter Hope Anne Beene of Gettysburg, PA, her granddaughters Amanda Marie Kemp and husband Brandon of Sykesville, Brittany Anne Beene of Westminster; her grandson Ryan Beene of Waynesboro, PA; and her brother Paul Baughman of Sparta, MO.

Friends and family will be invited to a celebration of her life in early fall 2014.
