Barbara Ann Gordon-Utz

Barbara Ann Gordon-Utz, 80, of Hampstead, MD, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Gilchrist Hospice Center in Towson, MD.  Born on January 26, 1944, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late George Paul Hyson and Mary Frances Bierman Hyson-Kos.  She was the beloved wife of Marlin W. Utz.

Barbara worked as a Real Estate Agent for 40 years.  She attended Jerusalem Lutheran Church. She enjoyed going on casino trips, bowling, listening to country music and Elvis Presley.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving her are children: Lisa A. Alford and husband Brian of Manchester, MD, Marty Gordon and wife Angie of Manchester, MD, Michael Kearns and wife Kerrie of Harrisburg, PA, grandchildren: Alex, Josh, Rhianna, Kailee, Connor, Brooklyn, Alicia, Lilly, and Arabella, and brother: Rod Hyson, Sr. of Wilmington, NC.

Barbara was predeceased by her brother: George Hyson.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, July 9, from 10 am – 12 pm at the Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 1372 Bachmans Valley Road, Westminster, MD 21158, where a funeral service will begin at 12 pm.

Interment to follow in John Luther Miller Cemetery, Westminster, MD.
