Barbara Jean Walsh, 70, of Hampstead died Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at her residence.
Born on March 16, 1940 in Columbia, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Kempf and Mildred Tipton Kempf Mueller. She was the wife of Michael Edward Walsh, her husband of 17 years.
She was retired from the Social Security Administration, where she had worked in disability claims. She was currently employed at the Hampstead Wal-Mart in the Lawn and Garden Department.
She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. In her spare time she loved caring for her cats.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her daughter and son in law Victoria Ann and Joseph Howell and her granddaughters Brittany and Kelly Dorsey, all of Catonsville; her best friends Gail and Dale Baker; and her nieces Jennifer Christman and Julie Callahan.
A private cremation will take place at All Faiths Crematory and Chapel, Manchester and a memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3184 Church Street, Manchester with the Revs. Norma and Matthew Schenning officiating.
Interment will be private.
