Barbara Jane Myers Bennett Carr, 84 years old of Carroll Lutheran Village, died Friday, April 18, 2014 at the Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster. Born May 11, 1929 in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Jacob Myers and Mary Jane Byers Myers. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Carr, Sr.

She was an elementary school teacher for Baltimore County Schools at Church Lane Elementary and Franklin Elementary. She was a long time member of All Saints Episcopal Church. She enjoyed her years with the Carroll Lutheran Village Community. She loved to read and was a lifelong learner and world traveler.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in law: Anne and Tim Pfeiffer of Roanoke, VA., Stepchildren and their spouses: Joseph Carr, Jr. of Pickerington, Ohio, David and Peggy Carr of Catonsville, Donna and John Bandzwolek of Finksburg, and Nancy and Dennis Capps of Lake Cormorant, Mississippi, 2 grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren

Friends are invited to attend one of two memorial services planned. First: Saturday, April 26, at 11:00 AM from the All Saints Episcopal Church, 203 E. Chatsworth Ave., Reisterstown, Second: May 11, at 2:00 PM from the Krug Chapel, at Carroll Lutheran Village, 300 St. Luke Circle, Westminster.

Interment Private.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations in her name to the American Cancer Society.
