Barbara M. Sparks age 91 of Hampstead, MD died Saturday Dec. 20, 2014 at the Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster, MD.
Born March 26, 1923 in Johnsville, MD she was the daughter of the late John Kennedy and Edna Bell Graham Morrison. She was the wife of the late Luther Edward "Sparky" Sparks who died in 1993.
Years ago she was proofreader for Double Day Book Co.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon L. Baker of Westminster, MD, granddaughter, Laura K. Baker and husband Andrew Spang of Westminster, MD. Great grandchildren, Benjamin and Sophie Spang.
She was predeceased by siblings, William E. Morrison, Marian Bauerline and Lucille Markle.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester with the Rev. Art Monroe officiating.
Private interment will be in Hampstead Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a memorial fund for Barbara Sparks, C/O of PNC Bank, 2325 Hanover Pike, Hampstead, MD 21074.
