Barbara Lynn Walsh

Barbara Lynn Walsh, 70, of Smyrna, Delaware, formerly of Hampstead, MD, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Bayhealth Hospital, Dover, DE. Born on November 12, 1951 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Francis John Bauer, Jr. and Marcia (Kropf, Bauer) Talbert. She was the beloved wife of John Walsh, Sr., for 36 years.

Barbara worked for McDonough School as a bus driver for over 28 years. She enjoyed playing and online shopping on her computer. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She also found comfort loving her dog Mookie.

Surviving her in addition to her husband are children: Cheryl Myers, Mike Walsh and fiancé Donna Conaway-Scheper, John Myers and wife Jennifer, grandchildren: Jordan Groft and wife Amber, Dillon Myers, and Shiloh Kurelo, and sisters: Patricia Quetschenbach and Susan Lockard. Also numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara was predeceased by her son: John Arthur Walsh, Jr., stepfather: Charles Talbert, Jr., and sister: Kathleen Meadows.

A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2022, from 1-3 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102.

Interment is private.
