Barbara Jo Whitehurst, 53, of Pikesville died Monday, August 10, 2009 at her residence.
Born on September 20, 1955 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Edward Whitehurst and Ruth Wiederman Whitehurst.
Ms. Whitehurst had retired from the Social Security Administration as a computer specialist. She was a dedicated volunteer of Soldier's Angels.
Surviving are her sisters and brother in law Bette and Charles Price of Hampstead and Carolyn Barbosa and also survived b y numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, 200 East Padonia Road, Timonium where interment will follow.
There will not be any visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to the Humane Society of Baltimore County, 1601 Nicodemus Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136 or the Diabetes Association, 2002 Clipper Park Road, Suite 110, Baltimore, MD 21211.
