Barbara Louise Yingling, 77, of Westminster, MD, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at her home. Born on July 11, 1947, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Jabest Cole and Louise Hale Cole. She was the beloved wife of Eugene Elwood Yingling of Westminster, MD.
Barbara was a graduate of Hereford High School, class of 1965. Years ago, she worked as the secretary in the front office at North Carroll High School. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Manchester. She taught Sunday school and was very involved in volunteering with the church.
Surviving her in addition to her husband is a son: Brian Yingling and wife Amanda of Hanover, PA, siblings: Carolyn Kittelberger of Hampstead, MD, Randy Cole and wife Leslie of Mt. Airy, MD, and brother-in-law: Robert Yingling and wife Susan of Hampstead. She is also survived by nephews: Jeffrey Yingling and wife Jen, Michael Yingling and wife Lindsey, Ryan Cole, niece: Ann Trent, and grand-nephews and grand-nieces: Colby Trent, Ava, Olivia, Evelyn, Lucy, and Max Yingling.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, August 14, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, and on Thursday, August 15, from 10-11 am, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am.
Interment to follow in New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, MD.
