P. Barry Carver age 65 of Westminster, MD died Wednesday March 3, 2010 at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson, MD.
Born April 28, 1944 in Banner Elk, North Carolina he was the son of the late Joseph Hardy and Wilma Orna Hodges Carver. He was the husband of Beverly Ann Carver his wife of 26 years.
He was a retired driver for the Baltimore County Fire Dept. where he was known as "Tonto". He had also worked in maintenance and drove trucks for Tevis Oil Co. He also graduated from the Baltimore County Fire Academy.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children: Natalie Johnson and husband John of Finksburg, MD., Barrie Lynn Zink and husband Rick of Hanover, PA., Carrie Ann Hoff and husband Dave of Westminster, MD., Selena Schreyer and companion Dan VanAllen of Baltimore, MD and Bradley Carver and wife Katlyn of Westminster, MD. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 1 great grand daughter.
He is predeceased by sister: Helen Barnes and brother: Carl Joseph Carver.
Funeral services will be held at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD on Monday at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 at the funeral chapel.
