Beatrice "Terri" Waln Miller age 84 of Manchester, MD. died Saturday Dec. 20, 2008 at the Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD.

Born Dec. 3, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA. she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Beatrice Martin Waln Anderson. She was the wife of the late William Clark Miller who died May 11, 2008.

She was an avid horsewoman and was the lady of the horse shows. She and her husband hunted with the Mt. Carmel Hounds for many years. Terri loved to show and jump her horses. She received champion jumper in 1956 by jumping over 6 feet with her horse Drop-it at the St. James AHS show in Monkton. Terri will be remembered by her numerous friends. Her passing is an end to an era. Her horses and her dogs were her life. She traveled all over the world even climbing Mt. Kilamajaira in Africa.

She is survived by friends: Flora Abel of Hampstead, MD., Ellen Young of Baltimore City, MD., Holly Wills of Hampstead, MD. and numerous other friends.

Funeral services and interment will be private.

A gathering of friends will be Saturday January 10, 2009 from 2-5 pm. at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD.

Memorial contributions may be offered to The Retreat at Beckleysville, a therapeutic riding program, 4224 Beckleysville Rd., Hampstead, Md. 21074.
