Beatrice Catherine Newman

Beatrice Catherine Newman, 93, of Westminster, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Atlee Hill Assisted Living in Westminster. Born on February 4, 1929, in Fairfield, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Martha (Andrew) Mickley. She is survived by her husband Robert Newman.

Beatrice was a member of Kirkridge Presbyterian Church in Hampstead. She was also a member of the Christian Singles Group. She enjoyed reading and most of all spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Shirley Cooke (Bob), James Ayers, William Ayers, Mary Scott, Bonnie Hill (Pat), and Thomas Ayers, 16 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren, stepchildren: Terry Robert Newman, Warren Newman (JoAnn), Ronnie Newman (Rhonda), and Dave Newman (Becky), 6 step-grandchildren, and brother: Harold Mickley.

She was predeceased by James F. Ayers, Sr., grandsons: Jake Cooke, and Justin Ayers, and stepson: Keith Newman.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 21, 2022, from 11 to 12 p.m. at Kirkridge Presbyterian Church, 2236 Old Fort Schoolhouse Road, Hampstead, MD. 21074, where a funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Kirkridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
