Belva J. "Bell" Moorefield, 82, of Finksburg died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster.
Born Nov. 23, 1925, in Pittsylvania County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Clarence C. and Lelia M. Nelson Jefferson. She was the wife of Walter M. Moorefield, who died in 1999.
Surviving are children and spouses Joyce and David Richards, and Linda and Gerald DeMoss, all of Finksburg, Steven and Debbie Moorefield of Millers, and Kenneth Moorefield Sr. of Manchester; a sister, Mildred Lee of Fayetteville, N.C.; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Margaret E. Moorefield, who died in 1982.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, with the Rev. John Rudd officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
