Bertha "Bernice" Kelbaugh Cook, 93, of Westminster, MD, passed peacefully Saturday, January 28, 2017. Born March 14, 1923 in Parkton, MD, on a farm, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Bertha Cole Kelbaugh.
Years ago, she worked for the AAI Corp. in Cockeysville, and for National Circuits in Reisterstown. She was a member of St. Benjamin's (Krider's) Lutheran Church.
She is survived by three daughters: Carolyn Leister and son-in-law Ronald, Cleo Reck and son-in-law Robert, Regina Black and son-in-law Michael, one son: Wayne Rill and daughter-in-law Cheryl, nine grandchildren: Sonya Leister, Todd Leister, Jason Leister, DeAnn Tigges, Jeffrey Reck, Nicole Lee, Nathaniel Rill, Lori Harrison, and Michelle Black, seven great grandchildren: Cassidy, Jacob, Sarah, Austin, Ashley, Brad, and Mark, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a sister: Marie Henning.
She was predeceased by siblings: Mildred Ward, Harry, Paul, Joseph, Frank, Carroll and Joshua Kelbaugh.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 2, at 10 am. Following the service, interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD.
