Bessie C. Lippy

Bessie C. Lippy, 92 of Chestnut Ridge, MD passed peacefully Friday August 19, 2016 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, MD. Born Dec. 5, 1923 in Baltimore she was the daughter of the late Myron A. and Eva J. Forwood Cronhardt. She was the wife of the late Herbert Charles Lippy who died in 1997.
She was a retired school teacher for Baltimore County Public Schools and a life member of the former Carroll's United Methodist Church where she had served on numerous committees. For many years she wrote news for the Jeffersonian Newspaper. She also enjoyed traveling and being with family.
She is survived by her children; Carole Jean Minton and husband Alvin and H. Bruce Lippy and wife Wilma, grandchildren; Dawn Childs, Daniel and Deborah Minton and Diana Lippy, siblings; Ruth Sedicum, Robert and Ellen Cronhardt. She was also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a grandson; TFC Mickey Lippy and siblings; Nancy and Charles Cronhardt.
The family will receive friends at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd., Owings Mills, MD on Monday from 3-5 and 7-9pm. Interment will be private.
A memorial service will be held at Hunt's Memorial United Methodist Church, 1912 Old Court Rd., Towson, MD 21204 on Saturday August 27, 2016 at 1:00pm.
