Betty Lee Gress

Betty Lee Gress, 95, of Glen Rock, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at her home.  Born on October 8, 1930, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Erving C. Taylor and Clara Kiler Taylor.  She was the beloved wife of the late James Howard Gress, Jr., who passed away in 2019.

Betty enjoyed playing bingo with her friends.  She loved antique shopping, gambling, and cooking.  Pink was her favorite color, and chocolate was her favorite treat.

Surviving her are children: Gail Harris and husband Ron, Cathy Wilson and husband Richard, Steven Gress and wife Julie, grandchildren: Kerry, David, Heather, Jenny, Shelley, Kacie, Zach, Emily, Taylor, and 14 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother: Stanley "Sonny" Taylor.

Betty was predeceased by her children: Linda Ross and James "Jimmy" Gress III, and sisters: Jeanne Brady and Mary Jane Kauffman.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, October 23, from 10 am – 12 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, where a funeral service will begin at 12 pm.

Interment to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Woodlawn, MD.
