Betty Louise Hale, age 84, of Hampstead, passed peacefully, Friday July 8, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Born November 24, 1931 in Hampstead, she was the daughter of the late Edward C. and Addie J. Harris Wilhelm. She was the wife of the late Marvin "Pap" Spicer Hale, Sr., who died September 3, 2015.
Years ago, she was a seamstress for Jos. A. Banks Clothier. She was a member of the Westminster Moose, the North Carroll Senior Center, the Hampstead American Legion, Post 200, and the Hampstead Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children Cindy Miller, Sharon D. Bilenki (Richard), Jean H. Trawinski, Judy A. Orndorf (Robyn), Marvin S. Hale, Jr. and Terry E. Hale, Sr. She was also survived by 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son Randy L. Hale, 1 grandchild, 1 great great-grandchild and was the last of 7 siblings.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A. 3296 Charmil Dr., Manchester (21102). Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
