Betty Jane Lang

Betty Jane Lang, 94, of Manchester, MD, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Autumn Lake at Longview Health Care Center in Manchester, MD. Born on April 8, 1928, in York, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Bessie Kaltrider. She was the beloved wife of the late Calvin "Sye" Mathias Lang, who passed in 1994.

Betty worked as a presser for Jos. A. Bank and numerous sewing factories in the area. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Snydersburg.

Surviving her are children: Barbara Pritt of Forest Hill, MD, Calvin Lang, Jr. of New Oxford, PA, and Larry Lang of Melrose, MD, 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.

Betty was predeceased by her daughter: Janet Benedict, and siblings: Letty Kaltrider, Peg Kaltrider Rill, Nelson Kaltrider, and Dave Kaltrider.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, March 22, from 10 am – 12 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102, where the funeral service will begin at 12 pm, officiated by Rev. Michael Adams.

Interment to follow in St. Mark's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Snydersburg, MD.
