Betty Ann Myers, 66, of Manchester died Monday, March 7, 2011 at the Gilchrist Hospice in Towson.

Born February 10, 1945 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late James Preston Wilhelm and Louise May Martin Wilhelm. She was the wife of Carl Eugene Myers, her husband of 45 years.

She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, the women of the ELCA, American Legion Post 200 Ladies Auxiliary, Hampstead, VFW 467 Ladies Auxiliary, Westminster, and Fraternal Order of the Eagle 1406, Hanover, PA.

Years ago, she worked for the Maryland National Bank and most recently for F & N Management.

In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling on the Wilhelm Wood Splitters, taking cruises with friends, watching sporting events, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her daughter and son-in-law Amy and Robert McCombs of Bel Air; grandchildren Matthew Polvinale and Katherine McCombs both of Bel Air; her sisters and brother-in-law June Brown of Hampstead and Vicki and Leroy Schmelz of Cockeysville; her brothers and sisters-in-law James and Shelby Wilhelm of Manchester and Preston and Kimberly Wilhelm of Hampstead.

She was predeceased by her brother-in-law John Brown.

The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday with her pastors the Revs. Matthew S. and Norma L. Schenning.

Interment will be in the New Lutheran Cemetery in Manchester.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be offered to Gilchrist Hospice Care, Inc., 11311 McCormick Road, Suite 350, Hunt Valley, MD 21031 or to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 739, Manchester, MD 21102.
