Betty Lou Nau

Betty Lou Nau, 86, formerly of Reisterstown and Eldersburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, MD. Born on March 14, 1932 at the American Consulate in Frankfurt, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Martha Kellner. She was the wife of the late James "Jack" John Nau, Jr.

Lou was a 1948 graduate of Eastern High School and a 1952 graduate of Western Maryland College, currently MacDaniel College. She was a member of Sigma Sigma Tau Sorority. Lou was a past president of the Women's Club of Glyndon and past president of the Greater Federation of Women's Club. She enjoyed playing golf at Piney Branch Golf Club where she was a member for many years. She was also an avid miniaturist, having belonged to the Towson Miniature Club. She was a skilled Bridge player and enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles and counted cross stitch.

Lou is survived by her children: David Nau and wife Stephanie of Baltimore, MD, and James "Jay" Nau III, and his wife Dawn of Williamsport, PA,  three grandchildren: Jessica Carpenter and husband Jim, Ian Nau and wife Katherine Walker, both of Williamsport, PA, and Julia Nau of Baltimore, MD. She was also blessed with one great granddaughter.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, November 2, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 3, at 10 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 109 Main St, Reisterstown, MD 21136. Interment to follow in Druid Ridge Cemetery, Pikesville, MD.
