Beulah V. Brown Benge, 94 of Glyndon MD, was lifted to Heaven June 4, 2014 in the arms of her predeceased parents, Grace Wagner Fisher and Frank M. Fisher.
Twice married, she had been the wife of the late William E. Brown for 54 years and the wife of the late Claudie H. Benge who died 8 weeks ago. They had been married 18 years.
Beulah was born Oct. 22, 1919 in Maryland.
After graduating from Towson High School, she became a telephone operator for Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Company for 4 years. She then went to work at Black & Decker in Towson for 35 years, starting out in the factory and retiring in 1981 as a Legal Executive Secretary for one of the Vice Presidents. She was a member of Glyndon United Methodist Church.
She was secretary of many duckpin bowling leagues. She enjoyed making homemade candy, decorating cakes, making quilts, sewing and was a fan of the Orioles.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Brown Bailey, of Glyndon, sister and brother-in-law, Betty & Paul Skipper of North Port, FL, granddaughter & husband, Tammy & Alan Eney, of Huckleberry Bottom, MD, great granddaughter Kirsten Chrest of the U.S. Navy, great grandson, Kyle Watt of Huckleberry Bottom, MD, many nieces and nephews, especially Terrie O'Donnell.
She was predeceased by sister & brother-in-law, Grace & Jim Watkins, and brother & sister-in-law, Captain Frank & Konnie Fisher.
Family will receive friends on Sunday form 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills, where services will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM.
Interment in Mays Chapel Cemetery in Lutherville.
