Beverlee Maye Hammett, 63, of Manchester, died Saturday, June 19, 2010, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.

Born Sept. 5, 1946, in Mount Airy, she was the daughter of the late Millard Franklin and Anna Maye Dayhoff Garman. She was the wife of Gary Neil Hammett, her husband of 44 years.

She was a data analyst for Becton Dickinson Microbiology Systems, where she worked for 41 years. She attended St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Hampstead.

She enjoyed being with her family, taking car rides and putting together Christian crossword puzzles.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are daughters Shannon Chenoweth and Tammy Casson, both of Manchester; a sister, Sandra Sachs, of Upperco; grandchildren Melony, Samantha, Lindsey, Adam, Thomas, Landyn and Anna; a great-grandson, Cruz; and a newphew, Todd Sachs, of Columbia.

The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service, 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, with the Rev. George E. Tuttle officiating.

Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
