Carl M. McCullough, 96, of Manchester, MD, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD. Born on October 24, 1921 in Freeland, MD, he was the son of the late William M. and Nora L. Dickmyer McCullough. He was the husband of the late Margaret Virginia Black McCullough who died on June 21, 2016.
Carl was a retired truck driver for Beverage Transportation. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Manchester and a life member of the V.F.W. Westminster Post 467, the D.A.V. and Manchester Vol. Fire Dept. He was also a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army. Carl enjoyed being with his family and working in his vegetable garden.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Pat and John Dixon of Hampstead, Karen and D.H. Farley of Westminster, and Sandra Shaw of Hanover, PA, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was also survived by a brother: Gene McCullough of Glen Rock, PA.
He was predeceased by siblings: Clara Kraft, Gary, Glenn, Calvin and Ronald McCullough.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 and 7-9 pm on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, and from 10 am until time of service at 11 am on Monday, October 30, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3184 Church St., Manchester, MD, with his pastor, Rev. Charles Marshall officiating. Interment to follow in New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, MD.
