Carter W. MacDonald age 83 of Reisterstown, MD. died Saturday Feb. 16, 2008 at the Northwest Hospice in Randallstown, MD.
Born Aug. 5, 1924 in Kitzmiller, MD. he was the son of the late Homer G. and Wanda Lee Carter MacDonald. He was the husband of Mary E. Kuhlemann MacDonald.
He was a retired Milkman for Cloverland Dairy where he served as local union president for over 20 years. He had been a real estate agent in Owings Mills and Reisterstown area. He was a Navy veteran of WW II where he had served in the Pacific. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 521. He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church. In his spare time he enjoyed following thoroughbred horse racing, gardening and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children: John D. MacDonald of Rock Springs, Wyoming, James F. MacDonald of Glyndon, MD. and Stephen MacDonald of Westminster, MD. Brother: Richard MacDonald of Ocean City, MD. Grandchildren: Claire, Rukmini, Kenneth, Kelsey, Christopher, Carter and Danni.
He was predeceased by a son: Robert C. MacDonald, a grandson: Justin MacDonald, a sister and two brothers.
A memorial service will be held at the Christ the King Lutheran Church, 515 Academy Ave. Owings Mills, MD. on Thursday Feb. 21, 2008 at 11:00 am. with the Rev. Harry Krolus officiating.
Following the memorial service a reception for family and friends will be held at the Glyndon Vol. Fire House, 4812 Butler Rd. Glyndon, MD. from 12:00 to 4:00 pm.
Arrangements are by the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. Owings Mills, MD.
