Catherine "Betty" Elizabeth Murkey

Catherine "Betty" Elizabeth Murkey, 82, of Westminster, MD, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Sunrise Senior Living, Westminster, MD.  Born on December 22, 1938, she was the daughter of the late George August and Catherine Willa Say Vogel.  She was the beloved wife to LeRoy Murkey, Jr.

Years ago, Betty worked as a bank teller for Bank of America.  She enjoyed sewing, reading, and spending time with her family.  Betty will be dearly missed.

Surviving her in addition to her husband are children: Karen Jennings, David Murkey, and Ellen Bowersox, grandchildren: Rachel, Kelly, Meghan, Timothy, Eric, and Adam, great-grandchild: Nathaniel, and sister: Carol Ann Erhardt.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, funeral services and interment are private.
