Charles Richard Anderson

On July 5, 2018, Charles R. Anderson, beloved husband of the late Dorothy E. Anderson (nee Blanchard); devoted father of David Anderson (Karen Lea), Catherine Anderson, Karen Storms, Dean Anderson (Amy), and Virginia Chandler (Bill); 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  Landscape Architect; Chief of the Bureau of Landscape Architecture for the Maryland State Highway Administration from 1958-1986; one of the founders of the Maryland Environmental Trust; Chairman of the Landscape & Environmental Design Committee for the Highway Research Board of the National Academy of Science 1964-1970.  Active member of the Holly Society of America, Chestnut Ridge Community Association, and his church.  Veteran of the U.S. Navy, World War II and Korean War.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 13 at 9:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 63 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, MD 21071 .  Interment to follow with military honors in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, MD.
