Charles William Gehlich

Charles William Gehlich, 89, of Reisterstown, MD, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at his daughter's home. Born September 9,1927 in Islip, New York, he was the son of the late Walter George and Julia Mary Prus Gehlich. He was the husband of the late Anne Teresa Gehlich.

Charles was a retired insurance underwriter for Zurich Insurance. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a Korean War Veteran.

He is survived by his children; Anne Zwagil and husband Howard, Joseph Gehlich and wife Sue, William Gehlich and wife Linda, Rose Skelton and husband Rob and Regina Gehlich, siblings; Helen Shea and Walter Gehlich. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD, on Thursday June 29, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, MD 21071. Interment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD.
