Charles LeRoy Isensee, 88, of Manchester, died Monday, April 29, 2013, at home.
Born Aug. 7, 1924, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Harry Isensee and Minnie Webb Isensee. He was the husband of Helen Mae Taylor Isensee, his wife of 61 years, who died Sept. 16, 2007.
He was a veteran of the Navy during World War II. Years ago, he worked as a vending machine mechanic for Watkins Amusement.
Surviving are children Karen L. Schaefer, of Manchester, and Steven T. Isensee and wife Susan J., of Manchester; grandchildren Dana Schaefer, Jeffrey Schaefer and wife Heather, Crystal Pietryak and husband David, and Taylor Isensee; great-grandchildren Justin Tawney, Jarett Ditch, Isabella and Mackenzie Pietryak, and Allison Schaefer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son-in-law, LeRoy W. Schaefer; and siblings Harry Isensee, Walter Isensee, Clara Leonard and Margaret Price.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. James F. Wittke officiating.
Interment will be in Druid Ridge Cemetery in Pikesville.
